Blood & Beauty: The Borgias
Sarah Dunant
Amelia Anne is Dead and Gone - Kat Rosenfield 2.5 stars
Year of Wonders - Geraldine Brooks 3.5
Would've been a four, except I didn't care for the ending.
Days of Blood & Starlight - Laini Taylor Skimmed the last 100 pages. Will not be continuing with this series.
Desperately Seeking A Duke (Heiress Brides) - Celeste Bradley This book made no sense. Some wtf the moments:

At the very beginning, the crotchety old patriarch makes it very clear that he dislikes the aristocracy. BUT, in order to gain his inheritance, his female relatives must MARRY A DUKE.

Idiot Phoebe accepts a marriage proposal from someone who's first name she doesn't know!

Even more idiotic Calder proposes to a woman he's NEVER EVEN MET! Then invites this stranger AND HER FAMILY to move in with him...that day!

Maybe this thing made more sense after the 100 page mark..but I doubt it.
Cherry Ames, Cruise Nurse - Helen Wells 3.5 stars
Between Two Fires - Christopher Buehlman Amazing!
Trish - Margaret Maze Craig 2.5 stars for an idiotic, doormat heroine and extremely stilted writing style.
City of Saints - Andrew Hunt Very well written with an interesting and different setting. Can't wait for more from this author!
Between the Lines - Jodi Picoult, Samantha van Leer Great idea, but the execution was poor.
C'est la Vie: An American Woman Begins a New Life in Paris and--Voila!--Becomes Almost French - Suzy Gershman Couldn't get past the first chapter. It became a wallbanger after the contemptible author describes paying for her husband's funeral (funeral!) with a credit card so she could get the frequent flyer miles. Horrible. How does this garbage get published?
The Diviners - Libba Bray While the author's use of mood was excellent, I found the main character to be too unlikeable for me to enjoy this book. Evie was vapid and selfish and remained that way until the end of the novel. I was also extremely disturbed by the casual use of animal cruelty. Will not be continuing this series.
Winter of the World - Ken Follett Not sure what happened. I loved the first book in this series, but just couldn't get into this one. May try again some other time.
Dark Currents: Agent of Hel - Jacqueline Carey Way too many instances of the word "gah" and the tail creeped me out every time it was mentioned, which was a lot!
My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century (My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century, #1) - Rachel Harris 3.5 stars
No Safety in Numbers - Dayna Lorentz Don't think this needed to be a series. One book would've been just fine. Not continuing.
Tempted By the Night - Elizabeth Boyle Idiotic heroine
Overuse of the word "thusly"
If the nitwitted heroine used the word "jiminy" one more time, would've thrown the book against the wall
The train to WTF-ville left fairly early on in this one. Portals to other worlds? Monsters? Huh?!?!?!
Truly hateful heroine.
Not continuing this series.
